He was a member of the infamous Bugger Gang.  Some say he was possessed by demons or the devil.  He didn't just murder people, he tortured them to try to make them tell him where their money was.  He was also an Army deserter and would have likely been hung for that if he had been caught.
Florence is not far from where I attended High School in Cherokee.

My buddy Jay lived in Florence until he got a divorce a few months back. I also have relatives in Florence, relatives from waaaay back, the one in Italy.
