I took the wife to the regional hospital this morning for a minor procedure she needed and waited around several hours...during which time I had breakfast in the hospital cafeteria.
They had scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, bacon, link sausages and wrapped breakfast burritos...serve yourself. At the cashier, you put your plate on a digital scale and pay 28 cents per ounce for any mix of the 5 entrees.
I had a large plateful of eggs, hash browns and 5 or 6 pieces of bacon...plus a pancake...all for $4.31 and it was actually pretty good.
But I've never seen food sold by the ounce...all at the same price...in a buffet style setting.
