Now we seem to be in a predicament.

And the question is.
Do you want to be the fly in the balm or are you part of the answer.

Your predessor president did enough damage to put us into this situation.

Don't sign my name to your idiocy first and foremost. Secondly, if you think that this is all Bush's fault then you must have had your head under a rock and missed the creation of the Community Developement Act under Jimmah Carter (and then double downed on by Bill Clinton) wherein the Federal Government put pressure on banks under threats of investigations, removal of licenses/charters, and denial of expansion if they didn't make loans to low income people who had no business owning a home because they didn't qualify for the damn loans.

Clinton then put his goons like Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson, and Jamie Gorelick in charge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac where they earned HUGE bonus's by buying these toxic loans.  In 2003-2004, the Bush Administration attempted to warn of the problems with Fannie and Freddie but the Democrats like Barney Frank, Maxine, Waters, and a slew of black Democrats in Congress refused to hear of it and in fact defended Raines, Johnson, Gorelick, and those two institutions while attacking the regulators and the Bush Administration as being the problem.

Bush inherited a recession upon assuming office and then 9 months later we got attacked on 9/11.  Due to his actions thereafter, we were able to get back on our feet and enjoyed six years of job creation and low unemployment.  The last year or so of his administration leaves a lot to be desired for, on that I will agree, but to say he is responsible for this mess is absurd.

Finally, this forum is for Domestic Politics, not your personal rants. Move to Rants & Raves accordingly.

Bush is responsible for this recession Neo. I saw it coming long ago as did many Americans. Dumb asses like you chose to elect him twice based on his message of fear which you and all the other dumbasses bought into.

OMNT...Then why doesn't my President Obama do something really WISE like send a check for $1,000,000 to every American citizen over 18yo, who are registered to vote?  It would be cheaper and far better than what we are facing...

We are all saved by Mr Obama's 1 year deficit spending that will almost match Mr Bush's combined 8 year deficit total.
Aren't we lucky?

Instead of making baseless accusations ole wise one, how about putting some muscle behind that idiotic statement?  Bush inherited a recession from Clinton, did you see THAT one coming as well? If you attempt to deny that, I can back it up with facts in case you want to attempt it.

You sir, are an idiot who does nothing but spout the DNC talking points of the morons you listen to on the liberal news stations and the alphabet networks.

Why don't you start backing up your wild assertions with some facts instead of boring the tears out of me with your bullshit? Is that TOO much to ask of you or are you too damn ignorant and high on spirits to even fathom such a novel concept?

You're beginning to bore me to the point of putting you on "ignore" as in "ignorant".

Well...in his defense, occasionally OMNT is interesting and humorous...so I wouldn't ignore him all the time.

Just sometimes.

Since the fall of '72 when I landed in Seattle to start my jr. year at the U of W, I, too, ran into lots of mudderphuchin' anti-American protestin' pro-VC/NVA chickenshit cowards who all had drunk the same Kool Aid.

My girlfriend and all her roommates and friends were afflicted with the malady.  I remember wondering how they all came to the same radical viewpoints, all at once.  But I knew enough to go along if I wanted to get my weenie wet, gnomesain?

I had a 2nd floor apartment on University Avenue and one friday afternoon about 3pm, start of rush hour, about 1000 of these shit-heeled creeps started a parade on campus, crossed over to the main street right under my window, and then went on up the "Ave"...they were headed for the I-5 freeway and when they got there they walked out on it, sat down and shut it down. Chaos ensued.

That'll show 'em!  (sorta like the present day Critical Mass bike riders who disrupt traffic)

As they went past one my apartment one of the leaders saw me and gestured for me to come down and join 'em.

I gave him the finger.   :Pottymouth!:

SHIT, AO, I got home around April '71 and attempted to "wind down" at Mom n' Dad's...in Naples, FL...1st 6 weeks were KOOL!!!  MOM wuz glad to have me back home & would cook whatever I wanted for B'fast/Lunch/Supper...Dad would jump up and get me a cold beer or take me out to the pool hall n' pay fer da table & BEER!!!

Then, I started getting lectures like..."Well, Robert...Just what are you thinking about doing with the rest of your life, because it doesn't involve living here at your Mom's n' My home very much longer..."...

I headed off, Fall o' '72, to Tampa in me '61 Ford PU Truck loaded wiff' me earthly possessions and found a $40/mo BIG circa 1920 apartment in Hyde Park, with a REAL "Murphy Bed" in da 12'x18' LR!  GI Bill gave me $175/mo and I got a part-time job and made enuff to Rn'R wif'n Bro John around da college bars back then!  We had fun!  I remember one bar where ya got got BIG 25 cent draught beers and the floor was covered wif'n saw dust n' they didn't care if'n ya yes pissed on da floor!

After getting out of the USN in 1969 and after working a summer in the pulp mill, I bought a '68 El Camino and attended junior college in my hometown in SW Washington.  In 1971 hauled all my possessions to Missoula Montana and the U of M.

But that didn't work out...sold the El Camino in '73 after transferring to U of W...bought a well-used '61 Ford F-100 and rebuilt the motor.  Drove that old beast (had heavy-duty leaf springs all around) with its 6-cyl 4-speed trans until graduation.

Those '61 Fords were unique in that the cab and bed were one piece...not separate as in all others.  Mine developed cracks behind the cab because I cut and hauled firewood for sale while getting thru college.

Yep...the GI Bill started at $175/month but by the time I graduated in '74 it was up to about $220/mo.  Yippee!  We were rich!
