See, can't drill within our own resources nor mine clean coal, shale, oil sands, etc... right here to end the "dependence on foreign oil". because we might disturb a worm under a rock. Nah, just bitch about having to import oil and drive our energy costs through the roof in the meantime with senseless green policies that don't do anything but bankrupt everybody. How the hell do we export something that hasn't been invented yet to begin with?
They're worried about the health of the planet while they put fiscal policies in place that will ruin the economy, so I guess our financial health comes in second? Who the hell is going to pay for this abomination? Do we just let the Fed keep printing paper money until it's worth about as much as so much dog shit?
Apparently President Obama never saw the Wizard of OZ or he'd know to "follow the Yellow Brick Road". What he's doing is taking a hard turn to the left where a high cliff's edge awaits him.
His supporters and him and his "staff" don't see it.

Dude. Doood. Doody. Obama is thinking of the future. You have kids? Will they have grandkids. What kind of future will they have if Tennessee and WVa are whored out to your short term expectations? Already the Smokey Mountains are more smokey than they were 30 years ago. And the tailings of the coal mines in W Va are leaking into the water table.
But what do you know? You live in a city that should have never been a city in the first place. It was spawned in a desert and would never exist if some genius hadn't figured out a way to draw off the Colorado River so that it was no more than a tinkle by the time it reached the border.
Man does all kind of things that benefits him in the short run without thinking of the long term effects.
Phoenix is misnamed. It never rose from any ashes. To rise from ashes implies that it existed before. Phoenix is the golden idol created by the Israelites while Moses was busy up on the mountain getting the truth.
