He liked your effort. We like your hair.

I designed the Guggenheim.

And get rid of those tired images, Gravy.

I also designed a swing set for my kids.  As well as a police car for the future driven by expendible monkey policemen

Having nothing better to do, and having most of the materials on hand, I built a third duck blind on the Back 40 this week.

There's a shallow pond in front of the new blind and mallards, woodducks and teal use it when it fills with rainwater from late December to the season's end in late January.

Or a deer.  There's a roadway on the far side of the pond and deer use it quite a bit.  I can sneak in to the blind from the right, behind where the photo was taken, and the wind is usually left to right...so I may ambush Bambi from the new hut.

Wifey's two slacker sons, age 24 and 30, are flying out from Philadelphia next week for an extended stay.  I'm going to put them to work cutting the willows around the pond...there are a couple in the photo...the dark bushes.

Just the dozen or so at the pond's edge will be cut.

The deer are stupid...they will forget all about those willows after a day or so until the tender resprouts come up.  Then, they'll eat them.

Ducks will more readily use the pond if its clear of nearby brush & trees where hawks, foxes, etc, could lurk.

I have photos of this pond taken about 1960 when it was new.  The previous owner shot a lot of ducks here until he expired in 1997.

When I bought the place in 2004 the pond was choked with dense willow sprouts and small trees...I cut 'em and put herbicide on the stumps...but missed a few, apparently.
