A Catholic pro-life leader has some scathing words concerning Senator Ted Kennedy's Catholic funeral.

Thomas Euteneuer, president of Human Life International, released this statement concerning Senator Kennedy. "We must, as a matter of precept, pray for the salvation of heretical Catholics like Senator Edward Kennedy, but we do not have to praise him, let alone extol him with the full honors of a public Catholic funeral and all the adulation that attends such an event."

He adds that while Senator Kennedy called himself Catholic, like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Joe Biden, they are actually wolves in sheep's clothing.

"They do not hold to the teaching of the church. They, in fact, take every opportunity seemingly to contradict the teaching of our church," Euteneuer says. "So in the case of Senator Edward Kennedy, he was not only against his church's teaching on the issue of abortion, but the same with embryonic stem cell research, the same with gay marriage and

various other issues which set him in diametric opposition to his church's very well-defined and clearly articulated teaching."

Euteneuer says he is speaking out now to remind everyone that Catholics cannot honor a person with a full and public Catholic funeral when, like Senator Kennedy, he really was not.

I have nothing against Catholics, per se...but my late grandmother was a devout Catholic-hating Seventh Day Adventist.

She called Catholics "cat lickers" and said they would kiss the Pope's big toe if so ordered.

There was a family of Catholics with 6 kids living across the street from my boyhood home and a Catholic church with K-8 school 2 blocks away. After a week of bad behavior they would go to confession, the slate was wiped clean, and they were good to go for another week.

After completing grade 8, the Catholic kids would transfer to public schools. As a group, these kids were the wildest and most out-of-control of all.

Oh yeah...by several reports, the local Catholic priest was a pedophile who plied the altar boys with alcohol and showed them his vestments, etc. :eek:

Fascinating! I've heard these stories before, we've all read them as well....on THAT note...

If you were to square you story with Teddy Kennedy and/or the Kennedy family in general and specific like.....welll...it's pretty much the same story.

Think about it for a second....Liberal Catholics who champion the murder of unborn children.....Champion the right for a guy to have sex with another guy or a woman to do the same with a woman....Champion these perversions of life to have custody over and of children.

Furthermore, if health care reform is the only indicator for you about whether someone is 'extreme liberal' or not, I suggest you stick with conspiracy theory's.

I would also say, that if you consider wanting to provide health care to uninsured Americans and make it cheaper for everyone else as 'extremist liberal', well in that regards I agree. Unfortunately in the real world, health care isn't the only indicator on where someone stands politically.
